As part of the work to build and sustain this internship we organize events designed to bring together people from different political parties, news media organizations, and the Ottawa public policy community to share experiences and collaborate for a good cause.
The centerpiece of our efforts is a live music fundraiser held each Fall at Wakefield’s historic Black Sheep Inn.
Each year we gather two hundred members of Ottawa's political community together for an evening of entertainment; with music from The Claytones and special guests, and some gentle roasting by Peter Mansbridge - our co-chair. Along with a live auction and raffle of terrific items, it’s become one of the ‘not to be missed’ events in the Capitol’s social calendar.
We did not have the annual fundraiser in 2015 due to the federal election.
