Larissa Parker is a fourth year at Trinity College, University of Toronto, pursuing an Honours BA in ‘Ethics, Society & Law’, Political Science and Environmental Studies. Her academic interests include climate change, energy policy and Indigenous rights. Prior to being a Jaimie’s intern, Larissa possessed work experience on municipal and provincial levels. In the past year alone, Larissa has worked as an intern at Toronto City Hall in City Councillor Gord Perks’ office, as well as an analyst in the Strategic Policy Department at the Ontario Energy Board. Furthermore, Larissa possesses international experience and has attended several conferences this year on climate change and the sustainable development goals; specifically, Larissa attended COP21 in December and the Economic and Social Council Youth Forum in February.
Finally, Larissa also possesses exceptional leadership experience. She is currently President of the Trinity College Environmental Society, which focusses on promoting awareness on environmental issues and President of Trinity Against Sexual Assault and Harassment, a club that she co-founded to address the lack of sexual violence policy and resources at her College.
